LSU Game-day parking · Baton Rouge, LA
Parking at Tiger Stadium
North Stadium Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70803
The short answer
Free public parking exists but is limited, first come, first served. Most campus lots are reserved for permit holders; rideshare and the shuttle both use Lot 406.
Where to park
- Grey zones on LSU's parking map are free public parking. Availability is limited, first come, first served, and areas can close for weather or other reasons.
- Green, blue, pink, orange and gold zones are reserved season parking for football season-ticket holders.
- Exterior lots open after 5 p.m. Thursday; interior campus tailgating set-up starts after 4:30 p.m. Friday.
- Saving spaces is not allowed. Parking on the Nicholson Drive shoulders between West Chimes and Brightside is not allowed and cars there are towed.
Shuttles & park and ride
- The shuttle picks up at Lot 406, drops off at Lot 101, and returns from in front of Nicholson Gateway until about 90 minutes after the game. Cost isn't stated; LSU posts weekly updates at LSUsports.net/gameday.
- Local businesses also run buses; LSU points fans to local media for pickup spots.
Rideshare & drop-off
- Riders are dropped off and picked up in Lot 406.
- Rideshare drivers stage at the Mobility Hub near Lot 406 by the end of the 3rd quarter. Inbound traffic, including rideshare, is diverted from the start of the 4th quarter until contraflow ends.
Accessible parking
- Free accessible parking is at the back of Lot 406 (behind Tiger Park, off Gourrier Ave.), first come, first served. You need a state hang tag or ADA license.
- Paid accessible parking is in the Nicholson Gateway Garage, bought game by game at LSUtix.net. An ADA shuttle runs from Lot 406 to the stadium.
RVs & buses
- Oversized vehicles, buses and limousines need a game-by-game permit for Lot 412 and approach via Nicholson Drive or River Road.
- Single-game RV parking is Lot 413 on River Road behind Tiger Park, sold at LSUtix.net or the LSU ticket office. Lot 413 opens Thursday at 5 p.m. Motor homes must leave campus by noon the day after the game.
Traffic, closures & towing
- Skip Bertman Dr. (Nicholson Dr. to the railroad tracks) and Nicholson Dr. (north to South Stadium Dr.) close for about 45 minutes after the game.
- The four corners around Tiger Stadium are restricted pedestrian zones from 3 hours before kickoff until about 2 hours after the game.
- LSU runs a custom Waze game-day traffic map at LSUsports.net/directions.
Prices, lots and shuttle times change every season, and sometimes game to game. Check the official pages before you go.
