Tailgating at Tiger Stadium

Where to set up

  • Tailgating happens across campus; free public parking areas (grey on the parking map) are first come, first served.
  • Cooking is not allowed in travel lanes, in parking spaces, under building entrances, patios or covered walkways, on Memorial Plaza or the War Memorial, or on brick paver and exposed aggregate that grease would stain.
  • Turnkey tailgating packages and all commercial tailgates go through LSU Sports Properties ([email protected]).

When lots open

  • Tailgate set-up is allowed after 5 p.m. CT on the Friday before game day.
  • Music must be off by midnight the night before the game.
  • Motor homes: Lot 413 opens Thursday 5 p.m., Lots 408 and 409 Friday 9 a.m., Lot 401 and Touchdown Village Friday 5 p.m.

Rules

  • Contained cookers only (grills, smokers, fryers, Blackstones), no bigger than a 55-gallon drum. Cookers on trailers are not allowed in reserved lots.
  • No bonfires, fire pits, burn barrels, Cajun cookers or any cooking where the fire touches the ground.
  • Keep cookers 10 feet from buildings, attended, with a fire extinguisher handy. Never dump charcoal in trash cans, under trees or in landscaping.
  • Music is fine at a reasonable volume, but no live bands, DJs, professional sound systems or stages.
  • Glass containers are strongly discouraged. Tent canopies can't show company logos or ads.
  • No selling food, handing out flyers or soliciting without LSU approval. Tailgaters can't go into campus buildings for power; only buildings marked open for restrooms.

Shuttles, RVs & getting there

  • Motor homes must be turned off when parked, and no dumping cooking oil or charcoal. Generators should use an exhaust stack above the roof. Season spots are requested at LSUtix.net.
  • Buses, limousines and any vehicle over 20 feet long or 7 feet wide must park in Lot 412 with an advance permit; approach via Nicholson Drive or River Road.
  • Free ADA parking is at the back of Lot 406 (entry off Gourrier Avenue) with an ADA shuttle to Tiger Stadium.
