Parking at Sanford Stadium
200 Sanford Drive, Athens, GA 30334
The short answer
Park at the East Campus Deck near the Ramsey Center and take the free shuttle to Gate 6, starting 3.5 hours before kickoff. Overflow opens at the Intramural Fields.
Where to park
- UGA recommends heading to East Campus, where most public parking is, around the Ramsey Center off College Station Rd. Public lots open at 7 a.m. on game day and are first come, first served: no saving spaces, one vehicle per space.
- More than 1,500 overflow spaces are at the Intramural Fields across College Station Rd. Whether overflow opens is decided game by game based on traffic.
- Limited season passes ($40 per game) for the Carlton Street Deck, East Campus Deck, Health/Visitors Center and River Road are sold through ParkMobile and sell out quickly.
- Don't park on sidewalks, grass or landscaped areas unless told to. Golf carts and ATVs aren't allowed on campus on game days. Grills are not allowed in or on parking decks.
Shuttles & park and ride
- The S - Stadium Loop bus runs from the East Campus Deck to Gate 6 at Sanford Stadium beginning 3.5 hours before kickoff. It's free, and all buses are accessible.
- Gates open 90 minutes before kickoff, so you may wait; the Tate Center dining and the UGA Bookstore are a short walk away.
- After the game the bus returns from Gate 6 to the East Campus Deck (and near the Intramural Fields if overflow is open) and runs continuously until traffic returns to normal, at least 1 hour.
- Postgame traffic doesn't let buses return to the Intramural Fields directly, so overflow riders are dropped near East Campus Rd. and walk about half a mile. Cars left there more than 3 hours after the game can be towed.
Accessible parking
- Two percent of spaces in every lot are set aside for disability parking, first come, first served. UGA suggests the East Campus Deck and its accessible shuttle.
RVs & buses
- Season RV passes are sold through ParkMobile for the E23 Park & Ride lot ($1,050, or $150 per game). For other RV questions call UGA Parking Services at 706-542-7275.
Traffic, closures & towing
- Georgia's traffic page says SR 316 gets overcrowded on game days and suggests US 129, US 29, US 441, SR 15 or US 78 instead.
- After the game, staff direct cars toward the Georgia 10 Loop. Game-day helpline: 706-425-3052.
Prices, lots and shuttle times change every season, and sometimes game to game. Check the official pages before you go.
